Who We Are
Cost-effective claims resolution that keeps people first.
That’s Prism.
That’s closure with care.
Prism Group is a private mediation group located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with a focus in resolving workers’ comp claims. We also mediate casualty, Longshore, and DBA claims and have a team of six mediators with extensive experience in all of these areas.
We’ve collectively mediated over 10,000 claims and maintain a closure rate of 91% across each of our mediators.
We believe mediation is the most cost-effective and human-considerate path to resolution that benefits all parties involved, from employers and insurers, to injured workers and their advocates.

Office Team
-
Teri Boudreau, Administrative Team
Teri graduated from LSU Paralegal Studies Program in 1993. She is one of the original team members of Prism Group and has worn many hats throughout her 27 years with the company. As office manager, she assists in various roles of administrative support and handles all accounts payables and receivables. In her spare time, Teri enjoys cooking meals for family and friends, listening to music and dancing (when nobody’s watching).
-
Darlene Faust, Scheduling Team
After graduating from Southeastern Louisiana University, Darlene entered LSU’s Paralegal Studies Program, during which time she joined Alan’s team. Since
graduating in 1995, Darlene has worked alongside Teri and Alan, wearing many hats from executing paralegal duties to scheduling mediations, and plenty of “hats” in between. After working full-time at Prism Group, Darlene answered the call to family duties. Although she now works part-time, she is still willing to fill any need to support the Prism Group team. At home, Darlene stays busy with teenage children, and her husband of 22 years. She loves to travel and read, but has little time for either, because her family keeps her on the run.

Emily Steele, Culture & Creative Team
Emily joined the Prism Group team in 2019 as Prism’s creative voice and works remotely from Fort Worth, TX. She is the designer behind all of Prism’s custom cards, tags & stickers. She enjoys writing content for the variety of items that Prism sends to its clients, delivering a personal, caring touch. When she’s not creating work for Prism Group, Emily can be found at the gym, running, cooking, painting, or hiking with her husband and dog.

Connie Jordan, Culture & Creative Team
Connie met Alan in 1984 while both of them were attending LSU Law School. They married just before graduation, and Connie practiced briefly before shifting her focus to raise their five children. Over the years, Connie has played an integral behind-the-scenes role on the Prism Group team, but she’s perhaps most known for her homemade treats given to everyone involved in a mediation with Prism Group! When she’s not baking or helping with other organizational and logistics tasks for Prism, she enjoys planning trips to visit her children and their families scattered across the country!

Our Story
Prism’s story is one of risk and authenticity:
two things that always seem to lead to richer living and being.
It’s easy to look at people and organizations in the middle of their journeys and think “Man, how lucky are they,” but it wasn’t just luck that lead us here…

2025
Today, we stand 5 mediators and 7 back-end team members strong, and we remain grateful to our customers for their continued trust in our services!
Alan graduates law school with his wife, Connie, and begins his first job as an attorney in “the real world.”
Prism in the Making
Alan takes his first of many risks and starts a defense firm with 2 other colleagues after the birth of his 3rd child.
2003
With now 5 kids, Alan rolls the dice again after receiving a couple requests to mediate cases and starts a small mediation business with a colleague.
The Prism Group is born as the original mediation firm changes names and Alan and his colleague decide to go their separate ways. There are 3 team members total.

Why “Prism”?
Our name comes from the phenomenon that happens when light passes through a prism: the entire color spectrum becomes visible as a prism slows down light and reflects out all the different colors that comprise the visible light we see all the time.
Prism was founded from the belief that if only we can slow down, listen, and be present with people, we can see the many perspectives that emerge and make decisions from there.
Since our inception, we have been about care, respect & intentionality. We aim to bring these principles to everything we do, not because we believe this is good for business, but because we believe it’s good for life.
