Baton Rouge Mediations Only

Alan Jordan is the founder of Prism Group and likes to say his affinity and knack for mediation comes from raising five kids and being married to the same woman for 39 years. After practicing law as a defense attorney for 21 years, a colleague asked Alan if he could assist as a third party in a comp case, and the seed of private mediation was planted.

Ever the creative innovator, Alan founded Prism in 2007 and has had his hands in a dozen projects at time ever since. His family of five children has grown by three in-laws and six grandchildren, and he keeps busy as “Pops”, “Dad,” husband, beekeeper, woodworker, hospice volunteer, and small-group leader in two of his passion projects.

Alan’s favorite part of mediating is “hearing people’s stories and discovering how similar we all really are despite appearing different on the surface.” His strength in the mediation room is empathy and meeting people where they are, no matter which “side” of the conflict they’re on.

If you want to get Alan talking, ask him about the Enneagram, trees, spirituality, or what he’s reading.
