Team Spotlight: Meet Buddy

Buddy Hendry joined the Prism team as our 5th mediator in 2023. As a Minden, LA native and Shreveport resident, he handles many of our North Louisiana mediations but will make the trip to Baton Rouge on occasion as well!

Buddy brings a sincere sense of calm, easy, and dedication to every mediation he’s a part of. He is the definition of cool and collected, and he has been routinely praised for going above and beyond to help all parties achieve their preferred outcome!

From a recent client: Buddy did a great job with my mediation. In fact, when I received plaintiff’s settlement offer 2 days prior to mediation, I almost cancelled because it was well out of range. I called Buddy, who in turn made a call to plaintiff’s counsel to let him know that. Plaintiff atty still wanted to go forward and we all traveled to Alexandria and  were able to successfully mediate and settle for $660,000 less than the plaintiff’s original offer. Not sure how Buddy “worked his magic” . I did see a flip chart he was using with a lot of figures on it!

Where were you born?

Minden, LA

What’s the most exotic or unique place you’ve visited?

Zion National Park in 2010 for a family vacation. We hiked the park, which included walking through The Narrows, a shallow water area carved out of the canyon by the Virgin River.

Is there any ritual or routine you do every day or nearly every day?

Rise early, drink coffee and read

If you had to recommend a local restaurant to someone for good food and environment, what would it be?

Mabry House in Shreveport or Ginnochio's, a short drive away in Marshall, TX

What are you most likely to be found doing when you’re not at work?

Training my new labrador retriever for duck hunting or rehabbing my latest diamond in the rough property
